Taste the Freshness! Open Air – Family-Friendly - Ohio’s Finest Fruits and Vegetables

 Sunday, July 22, 2012

It’s that time again, for the Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market! This open-air market officially opened July 5th and will continue to operate every Thursday through September 27th from 3:30 to 6:30 pm in Huber Park.

Don’t miss Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market!

Come for the freshness, stay for the experience and take home the best food items in Ohio!

“We’re proud to once again be able to give back to the community and sponsor the Farmers’ Market,” stated G. Scott McComb, Heartland Bank’s Chairman, President & CEO. “We’ll have employees volunteering, and look forward to seeing our clients and fellow community members again this year.”

Between 15 and 18 vendors from throughout the State of Ohio participate in the Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market each year. Throughout a twelve-week selling period they offer the community colorful varieties of tomatoes, sweet corn, melons, and eggplant as well as tasty asparagus, beans, cabbage, and onions that are all freshly harvested and locally grown. You’ll also find honey, spectacular flowers, the finest herbs, fresh baked pies, breads and specialty cheeses rounded out the wide selection available at the market.

Now in its fifth year, the Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market attendees can expect to see many familiar vendors along with a few new faces. A new vendor is Earlston Brothers Maple Products. “I’ve been trying to get maple syrup there since we started,” says Nadine Morse, Market Manager. “They’ll have all types of products – even maple barbecue sauce and maple salad dressing.”

Since its beginning in the Summer of 2008, the Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market has averaged between 800-1,000 visitors each week. The market serves not only as a place to purchase healthy food items, but also a place to make new friends and renew old friendships. Tents and chairs are scattered throughout the grassy park creating a relaxing, community atmosphere to enjoy occasional entertainment and cooking classes.

See you at the Market!
