It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays in Gahanna! The Gahanna Convention & Visitors Bureau is hauling out the holly and decking the halls in anticipation of the Holiday Lights Parade & Season, presented by AEP Ohio. Kicking off the holiday season in central Ohio is the annual lighted parade, the Healthy Holiday 5K and one mile Family Fun Run, visits with Santa and the annual Character Breakfast at the Olde Gahanna Sanctuary.

Designer Paws SalonAt the ripe old age of 19, Heartland customer Misty Gieczys knew she wanted to start her own business. She wasn’t sure what kind of business it would be, but she was confident that it would happen one day. After a two year stint as a dog trainer, she worked hard to become a certified groomer and fell in love with the trade. With the help of Heartland Bank, she opened Designer Paws Salon in Westerville and they just celebrated their grand opening.

And, if you’ve been to Murfin Fields, maybe you’ve met one of two long-time board members of the Grove City Kids Association (GCKA), Board President Bob Lewis and Finance Director Sonny DeLong. Over the last 35 years, they’ve been coaches, Commissioners, and Board members for the GCKA and all-around champions for the young people of that community.
