Money Matters 2015Heartland Bank and 104.9 the River have teamed up again this year to present the 8th annual Money Matters Free Financial Summit on Saturday, March 14.  The First Baptist Church of Grove City will host the event again this year and we’re looking forward to providing attendees with a variety of seminars on how to better manage their finances and plan for the future.

Heartland Bank is in PickeringtonMore than 50 guests were in attendance at the Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Heartland Bank’s Pickerington office on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. The bank welcomed government officials, business leaders and local residents to the special event that included refreshments and tours of the new branch, 421 Hill Road North, conveniently located across the street from the Pickerington Post Office.

In 2002, through the inspired vision of the School Business Advisory Council, the generous support of the Gahanna Rotary and the Gahanna Area Fund, the Gahanna Jefferson Education Foundation (GJEF) was created to provide a special community focus on education. Their purpose is to ‘Promote Excellence’ by funding innovative projects beyond the traditional expenditures of the Board of Education.

Kelli Hetrick-MashburnMany people might be challenged to think about their banker as a biker. But, here at Heartland Bank, we’re proud of our very own ‘biker banker’, AO, Assistant Branch Manager at the Wilson Road office, Kelli Hetrick-Mashburn. In her spare time, Kelli enjoys riding motorcycles and was one of nearly 2,500 bikers at the 2014 Highway Hikers Toy Run. The proceeds from this charity ride support almost 2,000 underprivileged children in nearby Clark County.

Every week, Heartland Bank proudly shares website stories about successful clients and this week we’re excited to feature the Johnstown High School Band Boosters. Just like any other parent booster organization, they’ve worked tirelessly since last spring to raise funds for the Big Red Marching Band, and this year, the group was fundraising for a very exciting opportunity. It was the dream of a lifetime for Band Director Joe Carver and his students when they were invited to the Outback Bowl, a New Year’s Day bowl game in Tampa, Florida.

Employee SpotlightThis month’s employee spotlight features the Croton branch office Assistant Manager, Linda Chime. While she started her career in banking at another financial institution in 1979, we’ve been fortunate that the last fourteen years have been right here at Heartland Bank. As an assistant manager, Linda’s main responsibilities include helping customers with their financial needs and goals. She said, “I help people with anything from making a deposit or opening an account to assisting them with a lot or car loan.”
