Joel Oney was born and raised on a dairy farm in northern Ohio where his family milks more than 500 dairy cows today. Joel received his Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science from The Ohio State University and his Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition from the University of Kentucky. Joel has nearly 20 years of agricultural finance and leadership experience with Ohio and Kentucky farmers. He is deeply involved with agriculture and has served on various boards serving the livestock industries and also in the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy in Kentucky. Joel raises cattle on his own farm and resides with his daughters in Gahanna, Ohio.
Seth Middleton, Assistant Vice President, Agribusiness Banker
Seth Middleton is a third generation row crop farmer in Shelby County. He works with farms located in Northwestern Ohio. He helps his father on their own 500 acre farm. Seth received his Bachelors degree in Financial Management from Franklin University. He has over 10 years in Agricultural Finance. Seth is a member of his local Farm Bureau and the local Kiwanis Club. He and his wife Britnie have two children, Amelia and William.
Brian Fracker, Vice President, Agribusiness Banker
Brian is a lifelong resident of Licking County and a Heartland Bank employee since 1992. After graduating from Capital University in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Brian has spent his entire career serving clients in the Financial Services industry. While at Heartland, he built a successful commercial loan portfolio before transitioning over to the Agricultural Lending Department. Brian and his family reside on their own family farm of 22 years located east of Newark where they raise beef cattle.
Bennett Musselman, Assistant Vice President, Agribusiness Lender
Bennett was born and raised on a swine and row crop operation in Madison county. He was an active member in 4-H and FFA, where he received his American FFA Degree. He graduated from Franklin University in 2008 with a major in Business Management and Human Resource Management. Bennett has close to 10 years of agriculture lending experience, working closely with many farming operations in central and southern Ohio. He participates in several agriculture groups and organizations in the industry. He resides in Pickaway county with his wife and two sons. Bennett currently farms with his dad and grandfather where they grow corn and beans in Pickaway, Madison, and Franklin counties.
Ashley Lutz, Agribusiness Banking Assistant
Ashley was born and raised in Warren County on a small sheep and cattle operation. She was an active member in 4-H showing sheep, cattle, and hogs throughout the state and national levels. Ashley graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in animal science and agricultural communications. Ashley currently resides in Crawford County with her husband Matt and dog Ella on the family farm. They currently farm with her husband’s parents where they grow corn, beans, hay, straw and feed out cattle and hogs.
