Payment Protection Plans
A Payment Protection Plan is available on a voluntary/optional basis for the Heartland Bank consumer or commercial loan customer who is personally guaranteeing the loan. Features of this product include:
Wire Transfers
This product allows a customer to electronically transfer funds between financial institutions on the same day. Features of this product include:
- Funds transferred same day
- Secured transaction
- Worldwide acceptance
- Wire verification available
Night Depository
A service provided to you or your business to make deposits during non-banking hours. Night depositories are available at all of our branches. Features of this product include:
- Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Eliminates deposit processing wait time
Additional specifications & fees:
- Night depository bags must be purchased from the bank for a fee of $25.00 per bag
- Bags are processed at no charge to you
Safe Deposit Box
For safekeeping of various possessions, important papers, certificates, coin collections and car titles with peace of mind of bank vault security.
Cashier's Checks
A Cashier's Check is Heartland Bank's own check drawn upon the bank and signed by an authorized officer. It is a direct obligation of the bank. Cashier's Checks are required in certain instances when other forms of payment are not accepted.
Money Orders
Money Orders are issued by Heartland Bank and are available for amounts up to $500.
US Savings Bonds
US Savings Bonds represent the promise of the United States Government to repay the purchase price of the bond, plus interest, at a specific time in the future. The return on savings bonds is guaranteed. Currently, the government issues two (2) types of bonds: Series EE and Series I. Features of this product include:
- Various denominations
- Enables you to defer interest earned on Series EE or Series I bonds
Additional specifications & fees for Series EE:
- Purchased at one-half (½) of the face value. Series EE Bonds are available in the following denominations: $50 $75 $100 $200 $1,000 $5,000 $10,000.
- Bonds may be issued in the name(s) of natural persons only; not businesses or organizations.
- Savings bonds may be issued to: Single Ownership—one person only; Co-Ownership—two persons; Beneficiary Form—one person as owner; another person as beneficiary.
- The Savings Bond(s) will be sent to you directly from the Federal Reserve Bank.
- Bonds may be redeemed six (6) months after date of issue. If redeemed before five (5) years, Series EE Bonds earn interest on a fixed graduated scale, rising gradually to the minimum rate at five years.
Additional specifications & fees for Series I:
- Series I Bonds are available in face value denominations of: $50 $75 $100 $200 $500 $1,000 $5,000.
- Bonds can be issued to individuals, corporations, associations, public or private organizations, and fiduciaries.
- Series I bonds must be at least 1 year old before they are eligible for cash-ins.
VISA CheckCard and ATM Card
Private branded ATM cards, primarily used in cash dispensing machines for withdrawals, deposits and transfers, and VISA Check cards, which expands ATM card access through POS (point of sale) transactions at any merchant displaying the VISA logo. Both ATM and VISA Check cards may be used in banking machines 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Both cards can be used at STAR, Money Station, Honor, PLUS, Fastbank, Pulse and MoneyPass ATM machine locations.
