Grand Marshal Tiney Mccomb to Lead Gahanna's Expanded Holiday Lights! Parade & Festival

20-Oct-2009 GAHANNA, Ohio – The Gahanna community is gearing up for the holiday season as they eagerly anticipate the 11th annual Holiday Lights! Parade & Festival on November 28. Each year as the festival approaches, a community leader is named Grand Marshal. The 2009 Holiday Lights! Committee has chosen Tiney McComb, chairman of Heartland BancCorp, Gahanna, Ohio, as the parade’s Grand Marshal.

“I’m honored to be named the 2009 Grand Marshal for the parade,” said Tiney McComb. “Heartland Bank has always been part of supporting the parade and the Gahanna community. We moved our main offices here in 1997, after studying many other central Ohio communities. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made and a major positive for our business.”

McComb formed Heartland BancCorp in 1988 which operates 11 banking offices in Franklin and Licking counties, under the name of Heartland Bank. He is also chairman of Heartland Investments, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Heartland Bank.

McComb said that giving back to the community and the residents who support Heartland Bank is important, and one way they have accomplished that is by being a longtime supporter of Holiday Lights! Parade & Festival. For more than 11 years, Gahanna residents and visitors have enjoyed the Holiday Lights! Parade & Festival and, coupled with the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year to the city of Gahanna. He said that these quality offerings have become time-honored traditions to both central Ohio residents and visitors alike.

For additional information about the 11th annual Gahanna Holiday Lights! Parade & Festival, visit www.GahannaHolidayLights.com or call (614) 418-9114.

The Gahanna Convention & Visitors Bureau (GCVB) is a 501(c) (6) non-profit organization funded by a local hotel tax and partner support whose mission is to promote Gahanna as a vibrant destination by connecting the people and places of our community which contributes to economic prosperity. The GCVB annually presents the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival and Holiday Lights! Parade and Festival. We are grateful for the support given to Holiday Lights by the event sponsors listed on our Web site: www.gahannaholidaylights.com.
