Local Businesses Return to Gahanna

21-Sep-2009 COLUMBUS, OH – Groundbreaking is scheduled to occur this week on a new 15,000 sf facility in Gahanna, OH, which will house Pilot Freight Services and Accurate Transportation. Both businesses were located in Gahanna prior to moving to Groveport in September 2001. Gary Paine, owner of Pilot Freight Services, and Janet Paine, owner of Accurate Transportation, are Gahanna residents and are happy to be moving their respective businesses back to the city of Gahanna.

“We looked at several sites, but ultimately wanted to return to Gahanna,” Janet said. “Gahanna is a convenient location and offered a very desirable site for both companies. We will now be able to ‘live, work and play’ in the city where we have resided for 25 years.”
Accurate Transportation, an asset-based truckload carrier, and Accurate Express, a broker with staff experience of over 34 years, serve the east coast, west coast, Midwest and Canada, offering over-the road, specialty trailers and hot shots. A woman-owned business, Janet is currently seeking certification for Accurate Transportation as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE). Gary’s business, Pilot Freight Services, is a freight forwarding franchise of a full-service transportation and logistics company with over 75 locations throughout North America.

The 15,000 sf facility will be located at 1655 and 1675 Eastgate Parkway and will consist of approximately 4,000 sf of office space and 11,000 sf of warehouse. The two businesses employ 30 professionals and operate 13 trucks and 20 trailers.
Hanlin Rainaldi Construction Corp. is providing design/build services for the new facility. Hanlin Rainaldi Construction is a commercial general contractor, design/builder, and construction manager headquartered in Columbus, OH. The firm is licensed to work in 48 states across the continental U.S. and has completed projects nationally for many clients throughout the industrial, commercial office, and retail construction markets. Financing for the project is being provided by Heartland Bank.
