GAHANNA, OHIO… August 14, 2009…US Banker Magazine recently released its annual list of the Top 200 Community Banks and Thrifts in the nation. Gahanna- based Heartland BancCorp ranked 159 on the list, the only community bank in Central Ohio to make the list, and 1 of 5 ranked in the state. The ranking is based on 3-year Average Return on Equity (ROE) which is calculated by taking annualized net income divided by average total equity.
